Garage owners: get a repair quote accepted
Sign-off
The quote approved in writing, before the first bolt comes off
Attach the repair quote. Your client accepts or declines it from their phone, and the approval carries their name and the date: no more “I never said yes” on invoice day.
- Dated approval in the client’s name
- The quote attached, available at any time
- Locked and sealed, with a PDF attestation checkable without an account

A simple, dated approval, not a qualified e-signature
To get a repair quote accepted, a garage owner submits it as a sign-off in Kolinea: the client answers from their phone, and the answer is dated, named and tied to the quote as it stood. Until an answer arrives, nothing is approved.
What is a "fine for the quote" said at the counter or over the phone worth?
A repair quote is accepted fast: at drop-off, between two customers, or on a call made from the pavement. You order the parts on that word. On invoice day, the client remembers another figure, or another repair, and you have no record of what was said, or when.
How does the quote reach the client?
You attach the quote as a PDF, then write what is being accepted, price included: "Timing belt and oil change quote — €1,140 incl. VAT". You name the client. From their phone, they read the subject and the PDF again and either accept or decline, giving a reason if they wish.
The status stays "pending" while the answer is missing. It becomes "approved" once the client has accepted, and "refused" if they decline.
What does the "Quote agreement" text already say?
It is one of the posts in the "Mechanical repair" template. Its text says what the quote contains: "Here is the quote for ...: parts, labour and the time the vehicle will be off the road. We start as soon as you give your agreement below." The sign-off is already in it, with a two-day deadline. What is left is to attach the quote and name who answers.
And if the price moves after the approval?
Worn discs found when the wheels come off: whatever changes the price does not slip into the first approval. The first quote stays what it was, with its answer, and the workshop can download its PDF attestation, which the client can have checked without an account on Verify a document: the file is compared with the one Kolinea issued, then erased. For the extra, you go through a choice decision, with the photo of the part and the price, or through a new quote if the amount calls for it.
Which steps does the approval unlock?
Ordering the parts and taking the car apart, then, if the mechanic finds something else, the question of the extra work. At the end, the handover of the vehicle.
For real, with Nadège Pottier's Peugeot 308
In the example folder (in French only), Ronan Prigent, of Garage Prigent in Angers, posts the quote for the timing belt and oil change, €1,140 incl. VAT. Nadège Pottier accepts it the same day, in her own name, and the timing belt kit is ordered afterwards.
What she gave is a record that is dated, in her name and sealed; it is neither an advanced electronic signature nor a qualified one under the eIDAS regulation. Pricing and invoicing stay outside Kolinea.
