Why use them together
Some practice management software comes with its own client space. The advantage is real: everything stays in the tool that already runs the firm, and Kolinea does not try to replace it. The two meet different needs: the software runs the firm, its accounts, its invoices, its calendar; Kolinea follows the exchange with the client over the life of a folder. You use them together when the client has to log in for a simple exchange, or when you want a tracking thread that does not depend on the management software, including for people outside the firm.
What Welyb and Secib do
The two serve different trades: Welyb is for accounting firms, Secib Online for law firms.
Welyb describes itself as the French document management system (GED) that centralises documents, connected to clients and tools, for accountants, payroll managers and statutory auditors. The client uploads invoices there, with automatic filing, and the portal handles electronic invoicing. Its "Companies" pricing page shows, on 30 September 2026, €25 excl. VAT a month per portal for the Essential plan, with a 12-month commitment and electronic signature or video conferencing as options. The price of the offer for accounting professionals is not listed there.
Secib Online, from the Secib brand (Septeo), is the client space of law-firm management software: documents, calendar, invoices, online appointment booking with video conferencing, and optional online payment integration. The client's access is individual, with a login and password. The price is not published: the client space is presented as an option depending on the software package.
What Kolinea adds alongside
Kolinea is a single product for all trades, with a folder template per trade to adapt afterwards: "Year-end" for accountants, "Litigation" for lawyers, "Financing" for brokers, "Detached house" for house builders, "Sales mandate" for estate agents.
It does not replace your management software or, for an accounting firm, your production software: it opens a shared folder alongside, dedicated to the exchange with the client. The client comes in through a personal link, confirmed by a code received by email on each new device, with no login or password to remember. Messages, document requests, decisions, appointments and milestones run on a single timeline, and the folder can involve people outside the firm (a bank, a notary, an architect). Once closed, it stays readable as long as the professional's space exists, on the Free plan too.
How the two share the work
Accounting firm, with Welyb. The software keeps the document management, the filing of the invoices the client uploads and electronic invoicing. Kolinea takes the document request and its follow-up: what is asked of the client, what they have handed over, what they have approved. It does not prepare the accounts; it gathers their supporting documents and approval.
Law firm, with Secib Online. The software keeps the firm management, the calendar, the invoices and, if you use it, the client space already built in. Kolinea takes the exchange on a folder: documents, decisions and appointments, with fellow lawyers or outside participants, without each of them needing a login.
Nothing forces you to choose: a firm can keep its software for management and open a Kolinea folder for clients whose follow-up runs over several months.
When your software's client portal is enough
If you need electronic invoicing or firm management linked to the client space, Welyb and Secib have them in the same tool, and Kolinea does neither billing nor accounting. If the client space already built in is enough for you, there is no reason to add another tool.
