Why look for an alternative
Hublio (hublio.fr) is a French client portal for freelancers and agencies: a dedicated portal for each client, with milestones, documents, meetings and invoices. Its stated target is the freelancer or agency of two to ten people. You look for an alternative when your trade is not that one (construction, consulting, mortgage broking, real estate), or when the folder involves several participants and has to stay readable long after it closes.
What Hublio does
At the time of our research, a link is all the client needs to onboard, with no account to create. The portal brings together onboarding forms, file uploads, per-project messaging with attachments, slot booking with a Google Meet created automatically, transcribed and summarised by AI, quotes signed online and invoices with automatic reminders. When a project closes, the professional can wipe the client's sensitive data in one click (the vault of encrypted credentials); the messaging history is kept per project. When an account is deleted, data is erased within 30 days. On 30 September 2026, the Free plan allows one client and one active project at a time, with no time limit; the Pro plan is listed at €11.67 a month, or €140 billed annually.
How Kolinea differs
Kolinea is for any professional who tracks client folders, with a folder template per trade (house builder, estate agent, mortgage broker, accountant, lawyer). It does no quotes, invoices or transcribed meetings. On closing, the folder becomes read-only and stays readable by all its participants, on the Free plan too, as long as the professional's space exists. If the space is deleted, everyone is warned 30 days ahead and can download the folder export. The client can also post a document or send a request to the professional.
When to stay with Hublio
If you are a freelancer or agency and want quotes signed, invoices sent and meetings planned in the same portal as client tracking, Hublio covers all of that and Kolinea does not. The closing step differs too: wiping sensitive data at the end of a project suits those who want to keep nothing, whereas Kolinea keeps the record of the folder.
