Nobody enters the room without being invited
A video call that starts from the folder
Today, a remote appointment often starts with a Zoom, Teams or Meet link pasted into an email, found at the last minute, and a client who discovers they have to install an app or create an account. After the call, nothing of it is left in the folder.
With Kolinea Video, the room comes from the folder. Your client joins it in one click, from the link they already use for their folder, and the call leaves its trace in the thread.
An appointment held on Kolinea Video
- In the appointment proposal, you pick the place among four: "In person", "Kolinea video call", "External video call" or "Phone". "Kolinea video call" comes selected. You have no link to paste.
- Your client picks a slot. The confirmed appointment has its own room. If your client gave you their choice over the phone, a team member can record it on their behalf: the room opens the same way.
- The room opens 15 minutes before the time. The "Join the video call" button is on the appointment card, in "Upcoming", as a calendar or as a list, and in the calendar invitation.
- 15 minutes before the appointment, a reminder goes out with the room's link: an email "Your appointment starts soon" and a notification for team members, an email for your clients.
- The room closes on its own 2 hours after the end of the slot. The thread keeps the trace of the appointment held: "Video call held", how long it lasted and who was there.
Prefer Meet, Teams or Zoom? Choose "External video call" and paste the room's link. It holds for that appointment only: Kolinea keeps no video link in your account.
A video call started on the spot

You choose who to call
Among the people in the folder, by ticking them. "Select all" leaves out the people with restricted access, marked as such.

You can give the call a subject
It shows on the card and in the thread.

You choose the cameras
"On" for a video call, "Off" for an audio call where everyone can turn theirs on, "Not allowed" for an audio call with no camera at all. Screen sharing stays possible in all three.

You can invite someone from outside
For this one call, with their name and email address. They show as "Guest". Their link opens only this call, never the folder, and a one-time code confirms their first device.

You can share a link to the call
Anyone who has it joins while the call is on, by entering their name, without seeing the folder. "New link" makes the old one useless, "Disable" cuts it.

The invitation arrives at once
Team members see it pop up with a "Join" button, in their notifications and by email (unless they muted the folder's notifications), your clients receive it by email, and every invited person opening the folder finds a banner "Cédric is waiting for you in a call".

During the call
The card in the thread says who started it, at what time and who is in; "Invite" adds people along the way. A call already running in the folder is never doubled: the button becomes "Join the call in progress".

"End for everyone"
Closes the room: nobody can enter any more, not even through a shared link. Otherwise, it closes on its own 2 hours after the last participant leaves.
A team member or a participant with full access starts the call. The team invites someone from outside, shares a link, adds people during the call and ends it for everyone. Whoever started a call nobody came to can end it too. In a folder opened by the client that is still waiting for its professional, the client has the same controls as the team.
The call leaves its trace in the thread
Once the call is over, the folder's thread keeps a line saying when it took place, how long and who was there: "Video call from 2:02 pm to 2:37 pm (35 min) · Cédric, Mr Durand, Ms Martin (guest)". A call nobody came to says so too: "Video call at 2:02 pm, nobody joined". The content of the conversation is kept nowhere.
Your client installs nothing
They join the call from their browser, on their phone as well as on their computer. They come in through the access they already have to their folder, without creating an account. During the call, everyone can mute their microphone or camera, share their screen to show a document, or write a message.
Privacy: where the call goes

Hosted in France.
The call goes through a server that Kolinea's publisher runs itself at OVHcloud, in France, the host that already runs Kolinea, at meet.kolinea.com. No additional provider sees your calls.

Never recorded.
Kolinea records neither sound nor image, and transcribes nothing. Sound and image pass through the server during the call, then nothing of them remains.

By invitation or by link.
Nobody enters a room unless Kolinea invited them, or holds the link a team member chose to share: every entry is checked at the moment of the click. An invitation link forwarded to someone else opens nothing for them, and a shared link stops working as soon as it is replaced, disabled or the call ends.

As little data as possible.
For the duration of the call, the server receives everyone's display name, email address and profile picture, and their device's connection address. The name and email address of someone from outside are erased 30 days after the room closes; the line in the thread keeps only their name.
In every plan
Kolinea Video is included in every plan, Free included.
What it does not do
- Kolinea does not record calls, nor transcribe or summarise them.
- A call always starts from a folder or an appointment: Kolinea offers no permanent room open to anyone, and does not keep your own Meet, Teams or Zoom link from one appointment to the next.
- A closed folder no longer starts calls, and the trial folder does not start any.
- Someone from outside, invited or come through a shared link, reads nothing of the folder.

Does my client have to install an app?
No. They join the call in their browser, on phone or computer.

Can I bring in someone who is not in the folder?
Yes, if you are on the team: you enter their name and email address, or you send them the call's link. They only reach this call.
