One folder scattered across four places

A decision goes out by email, the site photo arrives on WhatsApp, the quote sits in an attachment, the appointment was fixed over the phone. Three months later nobody knows in what order it all happened, or who read it.

One thread, two voices

Each folder has a single thread. A message, a document, a request, a choice, an appointment proposal or a milestone are published the same way and filed by date. You and your clients publish in the same place: your client can also send you a request or upload a file.

  • Find

The thread can be searched, filtered (awaiting, concerns me, with documents, messages only) and sorted from newest to oldest, or the other way round.

  • Keep in view

The team pins up to 3 publications visible to participants and 3 internal notes, shown at the top of the thread.

  • Follow through

A request published in the thread carries its recipient, its status (to do, done, or refused with a reason) and an optional deadline. The reply attaches to the request, not to a neighbouring message.

  • Stay current

Tabs open on a folder update live.

Everyone reads the same thread, according to what is shown to them

The thread is shared; visibility is set publication by publication. An internal note never leaves the team, a confidential publication is read only by the team and the participants it names, and a participant with limited access reads only what concerns them. So the thread is not identical for everyone, and that is deliberate.

In practice

Building and renovation. The electrician's quote, the client's answer about the tiles and the handover visit read in order, with their dates. When a client wonders what was decided in March, the answer is in the thread, not in somebody's memory.

Firms. A client asks for a document, you receive it in the thread, a member of the team adds an internal note the client will never see. Who approved what, and when, can be read back in the same thread, without digging through three mailboxes.

What it does not do

  • Only the team pins, and within 3 per category: references, not a second thread.
  • It is not instant messaging: the thread stays asynchronous, with no list of who is online.
  • Once the folder is closed, the thread stays readable but no longer accepts publications.
