Mortgage brokers: automatic reminders for documents
Automatic reminders
Reminders for missing documents go out on their own
Before the due date, on the due date, then when it is late. As soon as the document is uploaded, nothing more goes out.
- Before, on and after the due date
- Stops automatically once uploaded
- Chasing by hand is still possible

Your clients find what is expected of them as soon as they open the folder
One document is missing, and the file does not go out
You have the mandate, the project, the simulation. What is missing is the third payslip from one borrower, a bank statement from the other, the tax assessment (avis d’imposition) in full. You chase once, politely. A week later the lender is waiting, and you write again, a little less politely, to someone who thought they had already sent everything.
As long as the last document is missing, the file cannot go to the banks: chasing delays the financing, and you do it by hand.
Four moments, counted from the deadline
You set a due date on the document request, for instance the borrower's documents: ID, last three payslips, tax assessment, three months of statements, sales agreement. The automatic reminders follow from it: two days before the due date, on the day itself, the next day if the document is still missing, then seven days after the due date if it still is.
You write nothing. Your borrower gets a reminder that says what is expected of them, with the link to do it, not a vague question that makes them hunt for the context.
They go only where they are useful
A reminder goes only to the people the request is addressed to. If you named the borrower, it is them; if you named nobody, it is the other party in the folder. A co-borrower without an account is notified by email, which is their only entry point. A person with no address cannot be chased, and the button is hidden, so nothing suggests a reminder went out.
At most one automatic reminder goes out per day and per request. If you chase by hand in the morning, the automatic reminder does not double your message.
And it stops by itself
As soon as the request is dealt with, nothing goes out. No reminder for a payslip already accepted, none after a cancellation or once the file is closed. That is what makes the automation bearable for the borrower: they are never chased about something they have already done.
Reminders can be switched off for the whole workspace or folder by folder. Your own chase by hand is always possible, on a specific request.
