Know at any moment who is waiting on what
Today, without Kolinea
Working out who owes what
With no status and no due date, you have to reread every folder to know who has to act
With several folders open, there are as many message threads to reread to know who has to reply to whom. That answer is recorded nowhere: it gets pieced together again each time.
-
Spreadsheet
Kept up to date at the start, it soon drifts from reality, and nobody relies on it any more.
-
Whose move
Your client does not know what is expected of them, and you are not always sure whether a stalled item is waiting on them or on you.
-
Blanket chasing
A group message goes to every client, including those who have already provided everything.
-
In a team
Nobody sees where folders get stuck until a client complains.
With Kolinea, in a few steps
Write every pending item as a request
What you expect from someone is published in the folder as a request, with its recipient and, if you wish, a due date. A promise made over the phone does not appear there until it is written down.
Deal first with what is waiting on you
Each folder separates what is waiting on you from what is expected from the other side, with overdue items at the top. Your client sees the same from their side when they land on “Waiting on me”.
With “Waiting” viewLet reminders reach whoever is holding things up
Reminders go to the people named on the request: two days before the due date, on the day, the day after, then seven days later. They stop as soon as the request is completed.
With Automatic remindersPut aside what can wait
“Remind me” takes an item off your list until the date you choose, then brings it back. Reminders sent to its recipient carry on in the meantime.
With “Waiting” viewSpot what stalls from one month to the next
With Premium, workspace owners and administrators follow how quickly the people involved reply, the due dates met and each lead's workload. Nothing is entered by hand: it all comes from what happened in the folders.

What is waiting on you and what is waiting on others, kept apart in each folder, overdue items first
Your questions about this case
Yes. On opening the folder, they land on “Waiting on me”, with what is asked of them, in order.
Yes. A workspace's owners and administrators see the delays in folders they do not work on, as a count only, never the content.
Barely. A sole practitioner already sees, folder by folder, what is waiting and what is overdue. The Statistics page is meant for a small team; it is reserved for owners and administrators and comes with Premium.
No. A milestone waits on nobody: once its date has passed, it only comes up as “to confirm” for whoever can mark it.
