# Your folders’ dates in Google Calendar

> One click on Google Calendar, one confirmation, and your folders’ appointments, due dates and milestones are added as they come.

## Your appointments and due dates in one place

A folder’s appointments end up in your calendar, its due dates stay in your notes, and on Monday morning you find out a document was due on Friday. Copying dates by hand takes time, and a date moved the wrong way goes unnoticed.

With Google Calendar connected, Kolinea keeps the calendar up to date: a date that moves in a folder moves in your calendar, with nothing to re-import. The place shared in the folder shows with the appointment. In the sync settings, you keep only the dates you need: a crowded calendar is a calendar nobody reads.

## What happens once the calendar is added

Kolinea watches for Google Calendar’s first read and shows it: “Synced”, with the time of the last sync. At Google, this first read can take a few hours, like the following ones.

With one calendar for all your folders, Kolinea adds every new folder to it, including those of other workspaces you work in. With one calendar per folder, each folder has its own, with its dates alone.

## In practice

- **Real estate.** Viewings and signing appointments from all your folders show up in one place, with their location.
- **Law and accounting firms.** Each folder has its own calendar: the due date of an expected document and the conciliation meeting appear side by side, in the calendar the team already uses.

## For the whole team and for your clients

Everyone in a folder syncs their own dates, clients included, and only receives what they read themselves: a confidential publication they do not read does not appear in their calendar, and access removed cuts the dates.

With Premium, an owner or administrator can also create an address for the whole workspace: the confirmed appointments of every folder, to add to the team’s shared calendar. How it all works is described on the [Calendar subscription](/en/features/calendar-subscription) page.

## What you can do

- See your folders’ confirmed appointments, with their place when it was shared
- See your requests’ due dates and your folders’ milestones
- Keep, if you tick it, the slots still offered to a client, marked ⏳, so you never give the same hour twice
- Choose one calendar for all your folders, or one calendar per folder
- Find every new folder in the shared calendar, across all your workspaces

## Setup

1. From a folder or your account settings, click Google Calendar.
2. Google Calendar opens and asks you to confirm adding the calendar.
3. In Kolinea, keep the dates to show: confirmed appointments, request due dates, milestones.

## Limits

- It is read-only: Google Calendar receives Kolinea’s dates, and Kolinea neither writes to your calendar nor reads your availability.
- Google updates the calendar at its own pace: a change can take a few hours to appear.
- The ⏳ slots are a reminder: they do not block your availability for someone looking for a free slot.
- A closed folder keeps its milestones and appointments, but no longer its due dates, and the history goes back six months.
- Anyone who holds the calendar’s address reads these dates: keep it to yourself, or change it.
