# Your Kolinea folders in ChatGPT

> Connect ChatGPT to your folders, depending on your ChatGPT plan: it reads what you read and prepares your requests, which you publish from Kolinea.

## Talk to ChatGPT about your folders in your own words

You may already ask ChatGPT to rephrase a message or sort a list. Connected to Kolinea, it answers from your folders: “Give me an update on the Durand folder”, “Prepare a document request for the Durands: bank details and tax notice by Friday”, “Follow up on what is late”.

It reads what you read in Kolinea, no more and no less: your folders’ threads, including your team’s internal notes, their documents and their participants, your directory, your templates, and what is waiting for you folder by folder. It acts in the workspace you point it to and sees no folder you are not part of. When you ask it what to do first, it relies on the [Cockpit](/en/features/cockpit): threatened milestones, then your actions in order, one line each.

## Nothing reaches a client without you

What ChatGPT prepares for a client waits in the folder’s planned publications, marked as prepared by your assistant. It gives you the publication’s link, which opens it ready to review: you correct it if needed, publish it from Kolinea, or dismiss it. Until it is published, the client does not know it exists.

The actions that stay within the team, it does at once: an internal note, a participant added without being notified, a folder opened or duplicated.

## Your rights, nothing more

The connection gives ChatGPT what you can do in Kolinea, nothing more. The audit log keeps each of its actions, as “Claire Martin (via her assistant)”, with your own name. You revoke the connection at any time from the “AI assistant” page.

Kolinea runs no AI: the content ChatGPT reads only goes to OpenAI, the provider you chose. For everything the assistant reads, prepares and refuses to do, see the [AI assistant](/en/features/ai-assistant) page.

## What you can do

- Ask what is waiting for you today: the folders where action is expected, and what comes up in the next 14 days
- Get an update on a folder: what is decided, what is waiting and the next deadlines
- Prepare a request, a document request, a multiple-choice decision or a checklist, which waits in the folder’s planned publications
- Prepare the follow-ups for what is late, and send none of them
- Find out which milestones are threatened and what to do first
- Write an internal note, add a contact from your directory to a folder, open or duplicate a folder

## Setup

1. In Kolinea, open your settings, “AI assistant” page, choose ChatGPT and copy the server address.
2. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors, turn on developer mode, then create a connector with that address.
3. Sign in to Kolinea when ChatGPT asks you to, then click “Allow”.

## Limits

- ChatGPT publishes nothing to your participants, follows up with no one, invites no one and sends no e-mail: a team member publishes from Kolinea.
- It uploads no document, creates no contact in your directory, and deletes, closes or reopens no folder.
- Developer mode, which lets you add a connector, depends on your ChatGPT plan.
- The AI assistant is part of the Premium plan: on the Free plan, Kolinea refuses the connection, and deletes nothing.
- A connection unused for 90 days switches off, and none lasts more than 180 days: you then connect ChatGPT again.
