# Interior projects: moods, materials and quotes approved

> A mood chosen on WhatsApp, a quote accepted in passing: keep a record of every choice your client makes, from the mood board to handover.

## “Didn’t we say green?”: the choices that get lost along the way

An interior project is decided through dozens of choices: the mood, the flooring, the paint, the taps, the kitchen. You email three boards, the client replies on WhatsApp with a magazine photo, then changes their mind on the phone a week later.

Two months on, the joiner fits a kitchen the client no longer recognises, and nobody can find the message where it was chosen.

## From mood board to handover, every choice in one place

The client opens the folder through a link, with no account, from their phone. They find your boards there, upload their inspiration photos and write to you when they hesitate. The tradespeople you coordinate join too, with limited access: they only read what you show them.

- **Mood boards**: you post your boards and ask a question with options; the client chooses in the folder, and their answer is dated ([choice decisions](/en/features/choice-decisions)).
- **Materials and furniture**: flooring, tiles, kitchen offered as options with photos, each with its due date; reminders go out without you having to chase.
- **Quote**: you attach the quote, and the client accepts or declines it in a sign-off, with the date and their name. Kolinea does not price or invoice: it keeps the record of the approval ([sign-off](/en/features/sign-off)).
- **Appointments**: presenting the boards, a visit to the joiner’s workshop, a site meeting. You offer slots, the client picks one and adds it to their calendar ([appointments](/en/features/appointments)).

A sign-off is a simple approval, not a qualified electronic signature.

For a flat, the catalogue’s “Flat” template already chains the plans and photos of the existing space, the choice of mood, the approval of the quote, the choice of materials and the preparation of the works. You apply it to the next project instead of copying the previous one.

## A project where every choice stays dated

Each request has a recipient and a due date. Reminders go out two days before the due date, on the day, the day after, then seven days later, and stop as soon as the client answers. You add milestones to the folder: start of works, kitchen fitting, handover.

At handover, you close the folder. Your client and you will find the chosen mood, the accepted quote and the date of every choice there, for as long as your workspace exists.
